Butyl benzyl phthalate is a fragrance fixative in cosmetic products and a plasticizer in paints, caulk, plastics, PVC, and other consumer goods. It is also used in nail polish. It does naturally occur in mangoes and the grass red fescue but most butyl benzyl phthalate is produced synthetically. It can be used under the umbrella term fragrance in cosmetics.
